Christ is Everything to His Followers

Jesus Christ is God’s only Son and our Lord and Savior. He became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. He who is true God became true man, united in one Person forever. Jesus died on the cross an atoning sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. On the third day He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into Heaven, where He now sits enthroned as our High Priest and Mediator. Jesus Christ will come again to the earth—personally, visibly, and bodily—to judge the living and the dead, and to consummate history and God’s eternal plan. We pray: “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” (Revelation 22:20)

Christ alone brings us eternal happiness and, without Him, nothing else will satisfy. He is the One we need most for this life and the world to come. Christ is sufficient for all our needs and problems and Christians are complete in Him. Jesus is our Foundation, our Food, our Freedom, our Fountain of life. He is our Shield, our Strength, our Song, our Sanctification, our Supply. Jesus is our Root, our Refuge, our Righteousness, our Resurrection, our Redemption. He is our Light, our Life, our Ladder from Heaven and to Heaven. Jesus is our eternal Prophet, Priest, and King, and much, much more.

Here are excerpts from class for your own use and for ministry to others. They are also used in other places as handouts in teaching, pastoral visiting/counseling, and in prison. They are little time-release capsules of Bible truth that I spread around, obeying Ecclesiastes 11:1—”Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will reap a return after many days.”
